Alice
Walker, one of our most to be trusted and loved fellow beings on the
planet, said in a recent article in Root, that we must build
alliances not on ethnicity or gender, but on the commitment we see to
the truth.
"When I have supported white people, men and women, it was because I
thought them the best possible people to do whatever the job required.
Nothing else would have occurred to me. If Obama were in any sense
mediocre, he would be forgotten by now. He is, in fact, a remarkable
human being, not perfect but humanly stunning, like King was and like
Mandela is. We look at him, as we looked at them, and are glad to be of
our species. He is the change America has been trying desperately and
for centuries to hide, ignore, kill. The change America must have if we
are to convince the rest of the world that we care about people other
than our (white) selves."
I say that change is
in our
desire for honesty. That "caring about people other than our (white,
American, common belief system, ethnic, etc.) selves" comes from our
newly born, just now nursing, yearning, demand and willingness for a

again! It appears that nothing stimulates a yearning for the truth like
giving a bunch of liars and secret keepers and maniplators lots of
power for about 8 years.

ABOUT HONESTY! ELOQUENTLY! LIKE BILL MOYERS HERE. BRAD
RADICAL HONESTY! IT
WORKS PRETTY GOOD! …MOST OF THE TIME!
(Bill Moyers was one
of the first
journalists to read the first book I published, Telling the Truth, and
to send me a personal note praising it and thanking me for it. When
that book came out in paperback, I changed the title to Radical Honesty
and it became a bestseller.)

We have just posted
these new additions to the Radical Honesty website and on youtube!
An eleven minute
promotional video compiled by Dan O’Toole is now embedded in
the homepage of http://www.radicalhonesty.com.
Divided into 3 parts, this shows Brad talking about Radical Honesty on
20/20, Roseanne, and other TV shows, and has testimony of those who
have taken Radical Honesty workshops.

On the newly

of the newly designed Radical Honesty website (Thanks to Angel at
Codezero and Tom Patton!), there are four short videos that tell an
amazing story of social change, the powerful effects of the philosophy
and theology of Futilitarianism and a fine explication of "field
politics."
The first in the
four part series is Blanton for Congress,
which was Brad's campaign video
The second video
segment, And Nothin' But the Truth,
is from This American Life,
a TV special chronicling Brad's two campaigns for Congress, his open
disclosure about his personal life, and the Democrats refusal to take
him as their candidate in District 7.
Parts three and four
are a hilarious interview and taping by Ave Bowers called "Campaign
Reflections: Part I
& Part II"
where Brad talks about how, although he didn't win, his second futile
campaign surprisingly changed history in a way he never predicted, why
his run was worth it, and what America needs to do to stop its downward
spiral.

editing some good stuff now and planning to use more and more video for

Next up: Brad
performing his song
written from a World Café in Sweden conducted after people
watched “An Inconvenient Truth” and approached the
questions brought up by that with deep democracy. The song, entitled
“Human Photosynthesis” has in it the fine line:
“…to copy all the leaves and grasses is the only
way to
save our asses.” Heh heh heh.
